Planning around 120cm
120cm is the number that matters in the Emirates
Across the UAE parks we track, 120cm is the most common minimum height by a clear margin — where both the UK and France cluster at 90cm. It is the point at which the bulk of a park's line-up opens up. Below it, the list is materially shorter than a European park of the same size would offer.
Fewer second chances with an adult
UAE parks offer an accompanied-adult concession on roughly one ride in five, against nearly one in two in the UK. So the solo minimum is usually the real number here: a child who misses it is more likely to be turned away regardless of who is with them. Plan against the higher figure rather than hoping for the lower one.
Indoor parks change the calendar
Many of the region's biggest parks are fully indoor and air-conditioned, which makes them a genuine option in the summer months when outdoor parks elsewhere are unbearable. Opening hours shift during Ramadan. Waterparks add requirements beyond height — swimming ability, weight limits, riders per raft — so read the board at the top of the slide, not just the park's height chart.
