Best parks for your child's height
For a child of each height, the three parks where they can go on the most rides, counting rides they can board with an adult. Rides whose height the park does not publish are not counted.

What our data shows about Spain
Across the 31 parks we track in Spain — 620 rides in total — here is how the numbers fall. Every figure is counted from the ride records behind this site, not estimated.
- 310 of 620 rides (50%) are open to a child of 100cm.
- 188 rides (30%) let a shorter child ride if an adult goes with them.
- 188 rides carry no minimum height at all, with an adult where one is required.
- The most common minimum is 120cm, used on 132 rides.
- 123 rides publish an upper height limit as well as a lower one.
- 41 rides have no height published by the park; we mark those rather than guess.
How height rules work at Spanish theme parks
Riding alone versus with an adult
Many rides have two rules: a minimum height to ride alone and a lower one to ride with an adult. Most of the Spanish theme parks we cover use this two-rule pattern, from PortAventura Park and Parque Warner Madrid to Tibidabo and Isla Mágica, and some water parks use it on a few slides. Some rides admit a child of any height with an adult, such as Barracudas and El Torrente at Caribe Aquatic Park, which take children under 1.00m. Where a park publishes no height for a ride, we show it as not listed rather than guess.
120cm is the commonest minimum
Among rides that set a minimum height, counting the lowest height at which a child can ride (with an adult where that is allowed), 120cm is the commonest across the Spanish parks we cover, mostly because so many water slides use it, followed by 110cm and 100cm. Some operators publish more than their ride pages show: PortAventura World's height tool, the user guides of Parque Warner Madrid and Parque de Atracciones de Madrid, and the height charts of Tibidabo, Western Water Park and Aqualand El Arenal. Where two sources disagree we show the stricter figure, so check the sign at the ride entrance too.
Maximum heights and age rules
Children's rides and play areas often set a maximum height, commonly 120, 140 or 150cm, so an older child may be too tall for them. Most other maximums are around 195cm, which matters for tall teenagers and adults. Many parks also set age rules. Parque Warner Madrid and Parque de Atracciones de Madrid list minimum ages in their user guides, such as no children under 4 on Tom & Jerry Picnic en el Parque, and several parks require children up to a set age to enter with an adult: under 11 at Terra Mítica, under 13 at Tibidabo and Aqualandia, under 14 at Parque de Atracciones de Madrid, Parque Warner Beach and Isla Mágica, and under 16 at Aqualand Torremolinos and Aqualand Bahía de Cádiz.
Water parks: weight limits and swimming
Most of the Spanish water parks we cover list a maximum rider weight on some slides, very often 120kg per rider on a single float, as at Siam Park and Aqualand Torremolinos, El Arenal and Bahía de Cádiz. Float, boat and raft totals are separate limits and appear in the ride descriptions. Swimming can also be a condition: Bahía Pirata at Caribe Aquatic Park requires riders to swim, with a life jacket mandatory from 120 to 140cm, and several Aqualandia pools and slides ask non-swimmers to stay with an adult. Check weight and swim rules as well as height.
Seasons and opening calendars
Many Spanish water parks open only in the warmer months, while Siam Park opens every day of the year and the Aqualand parks in the Canary Islands open daily too. The theme parks publish calendars of open dates and hours. Hours vary by date, so check each park's calendar for the day you plan to visit.
