Planning around 110cm
The 110cm band in the UK
By 110cm a British park opens up considerably. The junior coasters are all available, the larger family coasters start to appear, and many of the rides that require an adult below this height become solo rides. UK parks lean more heavily on accompanied-adult concessions than parks anywhere else in this guide, so a 110cm child with a willing grown-up can reach most of a park's family line-up.
What is still out of reach
The headline thrill coasters remain closed until 140cm at nearly every major UK park, and a cluster of rides sit at 120cm and 130cm in between. If your child is at 110cm and set on a specific coaster, check that ride's own entry before committing to the trip — the gap between 110cm and 140cm is where disappointment usually happens.
Practical notes
Larger UK parks measure once at a height check point near the entrance and issue a wristband, so your child is not re-measured at every queue. Most measure with shoes on. Ride availability pages, published by several UK parks, are worth checking on the morning of your visit.
