Aqua Natura is the water park of the Terra Natura complex in Benidorm, on the Costa Blanca. This guide covers its 15 attractions, with the height, weight and age rule the operator publishes for each. The operator groups them on one attractions page under Little Kids, Family and Adults.
Height Restrictions Overview
Aqua Natura publishes its height rules on a single attractions page, with the rule written at the foot of each attraction's entry, and repeats the adult-slide rule on its park rules page. The rule is simple at the top end and quiet at the bottom: every slide that lists a height lists 1.20 m, and the children's areas list none.
- 11 attractions have a confirmed height rule, all of them at 1.20 m: Jungle Race, Black Hole, Rio Aventura, Zigzag-Giant Slide, Multipista, Aqua Snake, Niágara, Speed Hole, La Cresta, Kamikaze, and the green Hydrotube slide in El Ojo de las Cícladas.
- No attraction with a confirmed height rule is open to children under 120 cm. The park's FAQ says children under 120 cm cannot ride the height-restricted slides even with an adult.
- Ohana Splash, To Neró Kaló and the open slide in El Ojo de las Cícladas list no height rule on the operator's page, so their height requirement is shown as not listed. Adventure Island prints 1,05 m without saying whether it is a minimum or a maximum, so it is also shown as not listed.
- Niágara and La Cresta also have weight limits.
The park rules add that children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times, that children under 14 cannot enter the park without an adult, and that some attractions require being able to swim.
Height Categories Explained
120 to 129 cm
Every slide with a published height rule is 1.20 m. The park rules say the adult slides cannot be used below that height, and the FAQ says that children under 120 cm cannot be launched at height-restricted slides even with an adult.
The slides are Jungle Race (two intertwined tube slides and an open drop), Black Hole (a closed tube ridden on a two-person float), Rio Aventura (an extra-wide open U-shaped slide), Zigzag-Giant Slide, Multipista (four racing lanes), Aqua Snake (a zigzag slide on double floats, with children under 12 accompanied by an adult), Speed Hole (a tube slide on a single float), Niágara, La Cresta and Kamikaze. The green Hydrotube slide in the children's group El Ojo de las Cícladas also lists 1.20 m.
The Spanish page, the park rules and the FAQ all say 1.20 m for these slides. The English version of the attractions page still shows an older 1.25 m figure for Rio Aventura, La Cresta and Kamikaze, so 1.20 m is shown. Check the signs at the slide if your child is close to the limit.
Niágara has a maximum weight of 85 kg. La Cresta lists a weight between 50 and 100 kg, on a double float; the operator does not say whether that is per rider or per float.
Height Not Listed
Ohana Splash is a splash pad of about 300 square metres. To Neró Kaló is a children's splash pool with a pirate ship, and Adventure Island is a 1,400 square metre water play area for children up to 12. The blue open slide in El Ojo de las Cícladas is described for children up to 12. Ohana Splash, To Neró Kaló and the open slide list no height rule, and Adventure Island's figure is unclear (below), so check the signs on arrival.
Adventure Island's entry reads "Restricción de altura: 1,05m" without saying whether that is a minimum or a maximum, so it is not shown as either. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult there.
Tips for Visiting with Different Heights
- Under 120 cm: no attraction with a confirmed height rule is open. The attractions with no clear rule listed (Ohana Splash, To Neró Kaló, Adventure Island and the open slide in El Ojo de las Cícladas) are the ones to ask about at the entrance.
- 120 cm and over: 11 attractions are open: all the slides with a published height rule, including the Hydrotube slide in El Ojo de las Cícladas.
Check the weight limits too: Niágara has a maximum of 85 kg, and La Cresta lists 50 to 100 kg. Some slides also expect children under 12 to be accompanied by an adult, as at Aqua Snake, and the park says swimming ability is needed for some attractions.
Ticket Pricing
The standard one-day Aqua Natura ticket is listed at €41 for adults (13 to 59 years old) and €35 for children (4 to 12 years old) and seniors (60 and over); children aged 0 to 3 enter free with an adult ticket. Prices on the ticket page vary by date, and these are the standard prices on the park's price page. Terra Natura, the zoo next door, is a separate ticket; the park lists a €21 supplement to add the other park to a day ticket. Parking costs €7 per vehicle per day on the park's price and services pages (the FAQ lists €5). Sun loungers, lockers and floats are charged separately.
Getting There
Aqua Natura is at Avda. Alcalde Eduardo Zaplana, at the junction with the CV-70, 03502 Benidorm, next to the Terra Mítica theme park. The operator's directions page lists the AP-7 motorway (exits 65 or 65A), the N-332 road, bus line 42 from Avenida Beniardá, the TRAM to Benidorm, and taxis.
Opening Hours
The park opens on selected dates from spring to autumn, and the operator publishes a yearly calendar to download from its hours page. Opening time is 11:00 in March, April, May, October and November, and 10:30 from June to September. Closing time is 17:30, 18:30 or 19:30 depending on the day, as marked on the calendar, which the operator says is subject to change.
Final Thoughts
For families at Aqua Natura, the number to know is 1.20 m: every slide with a published height rule uses it, and the park says children below it cannot ride even with an adult. Younger children have the splash areas, Ohana Splash, To Neró Kaló, Adventure Island and the open slide in El Ojo de las Cícladas, which list no clear height rule. Niágara and La Cresta also have weight limits, so confirm the figures on the signs before you queue.
