Complete Park Guide

Aqualand Maspalomas is a water park in Maspalomas, on the south of Gran Canaria. This guide covers its 18 attractions, with the height rule the operator publishes for each. The operator groups them into Adrenaline Fun, Kidzworld, Family Fun and Chill Out & Play.

Height Restrictions Overview

Each slide's own page shows a "required height" line, and the park map repeats it in a legend. The two agree for every slide they both cover. The things to know before you go: several slides let children from 100 cm or 110 cm ride with an adult, and the Kidzworld play areas set a maximum height instead of a minimum.

  • 3 attractions can be entered at any height: Skull Bay and Polynesia, which are for children up to 140 cm, and Río del Pirata, which has no minimum height with an adult.
  • 4 attractions are open to children under 100 cm, adding Adventure Land from 90 cm.
  • 8 attractions are open to children under 110 cm. From 100 cm that adds Tukakame on its own, and Banzai, Misol-ha and Hurakan with an adult.
  • 9 attractions are open to children under 120 cm, adding Anaconda with an adult from 110 cm.
  • 16 attractions are open to children under 130 cm. The slides at 120 cm are The Spiral, Speed Boats, Snake Falls, Racer Twin Turbolance, Laberinto de Agua, Kamikaze and Tsunami, and the adult-accompanied slides above can be ridden alone from 120 cm.
  • Discovery Beach and Hidromasaje list no height rule on their pages, so their height requirement is shown as not listed.

The operator publishes no weight limits for the attractions. Its FAQ says there are height restrictions and sends visitors to the park map.

Height Categories Explained

No Minimum Height (3 Attractions)

Skull Bay is the Kidzworld area with slides, water arches and waterfalls under a skull, which the operator marks as new. Its page lists "-1,40M" and requires water shoes. Polynesia is the children's water play area with slides, climbing and a tipping bucket. Its page lists "< 1,40M". The park map shows 140 cm as the maximum height for both, and describes the slides there as for children up to 140 cm. Neither lists a minimum.

Río del Pirata is the lazy river (the park map calls it Pirate's River), ridden on a float for up to three people. The page lists "+1,20M*" with the note that anyone accompanied by an adult can ride with no minimum height, so it is open to any height with an adult and from 120 cm alone.

90 to 99 cm

Adventure Land has eight slides of different shapes, sizes and speeds, including Multiracer, Water Rider and Crazy Roll. The operator lists "0,90M-1,50M", and the park map shows 90 cm minimum and 150 cm maximum.

100 to 109 cm

Tukakame, the rapids ride on a float, lists "+1M", which is 100 cm, with no accompanied option. Banzai, Misol-ha and Hurakan list "+1,20M*" and allow children from 1 m to 1,20 m when accompanied by an adult, so they open at 100 cm with an adult and 120 cm alone. The park map shows the same 100 cm accompanied minimum for all three.

110 to 119 cm

Anaconda, the 200 m slide on a float for four people, lists "+1,20 M*" and allows children from 1,10 m to 1,20 m with an adult. It opens at 110 cm with an adult and 120 cm alone.

120 to 129 cm

The Spiral, Speed Boats, Snake Falls, Racer Twin Turbolance, Laberinto de Agua, Kamikaze and Tsunami all list "+1,20M" with no accompanied option. The park map lists the same 120 cm for them; it calls The Spiral "The Espiral" and Laberinto de Agua "Water Labyrinth".

Height Not Listed

Discovery Beach (the wave pool) and Hidromasaje (the bubble pool) have pages with no height rule, and the park map gives none for Discovery Beach either. Check the signs at the entrance.
