Aquabrava

Each ride page shows a single "Altura" tile with a bare number. The park's tariff page measures children in metres and the ride texts say "120 CMS", so the numbers are centimetres. Where a ride page and the operator's children's-area page differ, this guide says so.

• 7 attractions admit children under 120 cm when an adult goes with them: Aquaroc (pool only), Rio Tranquilo, Piscina relax, Piscina de olas, Colorado, Rio Bravo and Mississipi.
• 9 attractions are open to a child of 80 to 89 cm, adding Pirate Island and Tropic Island.
• 11 attractions are open to children under 120 cm in total, adding Octospeed at 90 cm and Anaconda at 110 cm, both with an adult.
• 19 attractions are open to a child of 120 cm in total. The 120 cm slides are Kamikaze, Camello, White Hole, Black Hole, Cobra, Rio Danube, Rio Grande and Amazonas.
• AquaXjump lists a minimum age of 16 and a maximum weight of 120 kg, but no height, so its height requirement is shown as not listed.

Pirate Island has a maximum height of 150 cm and Tropic Island of 120 cm. The park lets children under 14 in only with an adult, and children aged 14 and over can enter alone. Children who cannot swim well must use a flotation aid and be watched by their parents or guardians.

No Height Restriction (7 Attractions)

For 7 attractions the operator says children under 120 cm may use them with an adult. Aquaroc is a pool with a 26 m climbing wall, and children under 120 cm may use the pool. Piscina relax is a pair of warm pools. Piscina de olas is the 5,000 m² wave pool; children under 120 cm go as far as a line marked in red. Colorado, Rio Bravo and Mississipi are triple slides ridden without a float, where the adult holds the child for the descent. Rio Tranquilo is the lazy river: the ride page says children under 120 cm cannot use it while its waves run (at :20 and :50 each hour), and the children's page lists it with the child on top of an adult on the same float. Rio Bravo and Mississipi have no height tile, so their rule comes from the ride text and the children's page.

Under 90 cm

The operator lists the children's areas for children from 80 cm: Pirate Island Mini at 80 to 120 cm and Pirate Island Maxi at 100 to 150 cm, with 11 slides and a wave pool, and Tropic Island, with water jets, mini slides and climbing games, plus Mini Rivers ridden on a float from 100 cm. For Tropic Island the sources differ: the children's page opens by calling it a zone for children over 80 cm and under 120 cm, its specification says a maximum of 140 cm, the ride page says "-150" and the park map says "-120cm". The strictest, 120 cm, is shown. Children must wear a flotation device and be watched by an adult.

90 to 99 cm

Octospeed, eight parallel 50 m slide lanes with speed sensors, lists a height of 90. The ride page adds that children under 1,20 m must use the lane closest to the lifeguard; the children's page includes it among the rides children of 80 to 120 cm may use with an adult, and the park map marks it as for children accompanied by an adult.

110 to 119 cm

Anaconda, the 200 m family raft slide for up to four people, is open from 110 cm accompanied by an adult. The operator also lists a weight range of 100 to 300 kg, which appears to apply to the group on the float.

120 to 129 cm

Kamikaze, the 17 m almost vertical drop, Camello, the semi-vertical slide with two curves, White Hole, the enclosed slide with sound and lights, and Black Hole, the 125 m black spiral tube, are listed at 120 cm. The Black Hole text reads "Solamente personas de +120 CMS" and lists a maximum weight of 160 kg for a float that two people can share. Cobra, which ends in a giant half-pipe, is listed at 120 cm with a weight range of 100 to 250 kg. Rio Danube and Rio Grande are float slides, and Amazonas is a rafting-style river ride; all three are listed at 120 cm.

Height Not Listed

AquaXjump, the extreme zone of jump slides, a jump wall and float slides, lists a minimum age of 16 (ID is checked), a maximum weight of 120 kg and registration by facial recognition. The operator publishes no height for it.

• Under 80 cm: children under 80 cm enter free and need a flotation device. The operator says children under 120 cm may use 7 attractions with an adult: Aquaroc, Rio Tranquilo, Piscina relax, Piscina de olas, Colorado, Rio Bravo and Mississipi.
• 80 to 89 cm: 9 attractions are open, adding Pirate Island and Tropic Island.
• 90 to 109 cm: 10 attractions are open, adding Octospeed with an adult.
• 110 to 119 cm: 11 attractions are open, adding Anaconda with an adult.
• At 120 cm: 19 attractions are open, adding Kamikaze, Camello, White Hole, Black Hole, Cobra, Rio Danube, Rio Grande and Amazonas. AquaXjump is not counted because it lists no height.
• 121 to 150 cm: Tropic Island, with its 120 cm maximum, is no longer open. Pirate Island stays open up to 150 cm.

Check the weight figures too: AquaXjump allows up to 120 kg per person, and the Black Hole, Cobra and Anaconda figures appear to be for the float or group.

Aquabrava prices by height or age. The all-day ticket is €40 for people over 1,20 m and €23 for people under 1,20 m or over 65. An afternoon ticket from 15:00 is €34 and €19, sold at the ticket office only. Children under 80 cm enter free. Online sales cover the full-day ticket only, without promotions. Parking is free, with about 1,000 spaces, and is not supervised.

Aquabrava is on the Ctra. Roses a Cadaqués, km 1, in Roses. The operator runs a bus service from Roses - Santa Margarita and Empuriabrava every day in July and August, and its site shows the stops and timetable.

Aquabrava is a seasonal park, open for about four months from the first week of June to the second week of September; check the park's calendar for the current season. On open days it is open from 10:00 to 19:00. The attractions close between 18:00 and 18:30, and Cobra and Anaconda close at 18:00. Entry is possible until 17:00.

For families at Aquabrava, the useful numbers are 80 cm for the children's areas, 90 cm with an adult for Octospeed, 110 cm with an adult for Anaconda and 120 cm for the main slides. Many attractions admit children under 120 cm with an adult, so the height rule is only part of the picture: the ride signs also cover age, weight and swimming. AquaXjump lists no height but requires a minimum age of 16, so confirm the rule at the entrance.
