Aquopolis Villanueva is a water park in Villanueva de la Cañada, in the Community of Madrid, run by Parques Reunidos. This guide covers its 22 attractions, with the height, weight and age rule the operator publishes for each. Kilauea, a ProSlide raft slide, is the operator's addition for 2026.
Height Restrictions Overview
Each attraction page on the official site shows an "Altura mínima" (minimum height) and, for the children's attractions, an "Altura máxima" (maximum height). Some pages add a note when a rider needs an adult at a lower height, and the "Guía de alturas" page repeats the same figures as a filter. The operator also publishes an accessibility guide with its own height line for each attraction, and a 2026 park map that numbers the attractions.
- 10 attractions have no minimum height for a child with an adult. Seven list a minimum of "N/A": Tiki Island, Mini Turbolance, Mini Pistas Blandas, Mini Waikiki Jungle, Mini Park, Malibu Beach and Mini Zig Zag. Río Lento, Piscina de olas and Castillo Infantil list 120 cm, with children under 120 cm going with an adult.
- 12 attractions are open to children under 100 cm, adding Río Rápido and Mini Río Rápido at 90 cm.
- 17 attractions are open to children under 110 cm. Pistas Blandas, Estanque Dorado and Zig Zag start at 100 cm with an adult, Kilauea at 105 cm with an adult and Kangaroa at 105 cm.
- 18 attractions are open to children under 120 cm, adding Waikiki Jungle at 110 cm.
- 20 attractions are open to children under 130 cm, adding Boomerang and Black Hole at 120 cm.
- Splash is the only attraction with a 140 cm minimum, and it has a 190 cm maximum.
- Piscina Surf is on the operator's 2026 park map and in its accessibility guide but has no ride page and no published height, so its height requirement is shown as not listed.
Where a slide lets children ride with an adult, the figure is the lowest height that works with an adult, and the height at which a child can ride alone is 120 cm: Río Rápido, Pistas Blandas, Estanque Dorado, Zig Zag and Kilauea. Río Lento, Piscina de olas and Castillo Infantil use the same 120 cm line: under 120 cm only with an adult. Piscina de olas also asks for a life jacket under 120 cm and swimming ability. The operator also states that visitors under 14 must enter the park with an adult, and its parental-supervision flyer asks for an adult within arm's reach for children aged 0 to 6 or non-swimmers, close by for ages 6 to 10, and in sight for ages 11 to 14.
Weight limits are listed on Kilauea (115 kg per person, 270 kg combined for the raft), Kangaroa (135 kg), Boomerang, Black Hole and Zig Zag (100 kg) and Splash (110 kg). Waikiki Jungle lists 245 kg without saying whether it is per person or per float, so it is shown in the ride description only.
Height Categories Explained
No Height Restriction (10 Attractions)
These attractions have no minimum height for a child with an adult. Tiki Island is a children's pool with jets and water cannons, Mini Park is a water castle area with a 60 cm maximum depth, and Mini Turbolance, Mini Pistas Blandas and Mini Zig Zag are small slides. They list a 140 cm maximum. Mini Waikiki Jungle is a children's float slide with no maximum listed; its page and the accessibility guide give opposite single and double float rules, which are quoted in the ride description. Malibu Beach is the artificial sand beach next to the wave pool, called Playa Hawaiana on the park map.
Río Lento, the lazy river, and Piscina de olas, the wave pool, list 120 cm, and children under 120 cm go with an adult: on the same float in the river, and with a life jacket in the wave pool, where swimming ability is required. Castillo Infantil, the children's water castle, lists 120 to 140 cm on its card, the same band as the children's zone and the group rules (under 120 cm with an adult), while the accessibility guide's page for the castle lists only "under 140 cm".
90 to 99 cm
Río Rápido, a river-style float slide of more than 300 m, starts at 90 cm: from 90 to 120 cm riders share a double float with an adult, and from 120 cm they take a single float. Mini Río Rápido is its children's version. The ride page lists no minimum for it, while the accessibility guide says riders must be taller than 90 cm, so 90 cm is shown.
100 to 109 cm
Pistas Blandas, the multi-lane racing slide, and Zig Zag's white slide are open from 100 cm with an adult, and from 120 cm without one. Estanque Dorado, the calm pool with waterfalls, follows the same 100 cm and 120 cm pattern. Kilauea, the new ProSlide family raft slide for up to 4 people, starts at 1,05 m with an adult required up to 1,20 m. Kangaroa, a set of 6 mat slides, is 105 cm.
110 to 119 cm
Waikiki Jungle, the float slide themed on a Hawaiian legend, is 110 cm. Up to 3 people can share a float.
120 to 129 cm
Boomerang (the V-shaped ramp) and Black Hole (the enclosed dark slide) are 120 cm, and both list a 100 kg maximum weight.
140 cm and Over
Splash, the board slide down one of two 15 m slopes, is 140 cm with a 190 cm maximum and a 110 kg maximum weight.
Height Not Listed
Piscina Surf is a wave pool shown as attraction 7 on the 2026 park map and in the accessibility guide. The guide says children must be accompanied by an adult and use a life jacket or armbands, and that visitors must be able to swim because the pool is deep. No height is published. Check the signs at the pool.
Tips for Visiting with Different Heights

- 90 to 99 cm: 12 attractions are open in total, adding Río Rápido with an adult on a double float, and Mini Río Rápido.
- 100 to 104 cm: Pistas Blandas, Estanque Dorado and the white Zig Zag slide open with an adult, in addition to the attractions above.

- 140 cm: Splash opens, and every attraction with a listed height is open. From 141 cm the children's attractions with a 140 cm maximum close. Splash closes above 190 cm.
Piscina Surf is not counted above because its height is not listed. Check the weight limit too: 100 kg on Boomerang, Black Hole and Zig Zag, 110 kg on Splash, 115 kg per person on Kilauea and 135 kg on Kangaroa.

At the box office they cost €39.90 (general) and €34.90 (reduced); online, both are listed "desde" (from) €19.90, and prices vary by date. Children under 100 cm enter free with a paying ticket. Open-date tickets are listed from €39.90 (general) and €33.90 (reduced). A person with a disability of 33% or more can bring one companion free. The prices shown here are the box-office prices; check the online price for the date you want before you buy.
Getting There
Aquopolis Villanueva is in Villanueva de la Cañada, in the Community of Madrid. By car, the operator lists the M-600, M-501 and M-503 roads. By bus, line 627 runs from Moncloa to the park entrance, line 581 runs from Príncipe Pío and stops about 5 minutes on foot from the entrance, and a BusForFun service runs from Plaza Castilla. The park has 15 spaces reserved for visitors with reduced mobility near the main entrance; the operator's site does not list a parking price.
Opening Hours
The park is seasonal and opens on selected dates over the summer; the official calendar shows each day's hours and closures. Hours can change, so check the calendar for your date.
Final Thoughts
For families at Aquopolis Villanueva, the useful numbers are 90 cm for Río Rápido, 100 cm for Pistas Blandas, Estanque Dorado and Zig Zag with an adult, 105 cm for Kilauea and Kangaroa, 120 cm to ride alone on most slides and to use the river and wave pool without an adult, and 140 cm for Splash. Most of the children's areas list no minimum and a 140 cm maximum, so older children will need to use the main park. Weight limits apply on several slides, so confirm the figures on the signs before you queue.
