Western Water Park is a Wild West-themed water park on the road from Cala Figuera to Sa Porrassa, at Magaluf on the island of Mallorca. This guide covers its 21 attractions, with the height rule the operator publishes for each. The operator groups them into Adrenaline Fun, Kidzworld, Family Fun and Chill Out & Play areas.
Height Restrictions Overview
The operator publishes height rules in two places. Each attraction page shows a row of tiles, with a rule such as "Altura requerida: mín. 1,20 m" or "Altura máxima permitida: 1,50 m". The park rules page also carries a chart image with a height column, a companion column, a position column and a sensation level for most of the attractions. Where the two disagree, this guide uses the chart. The operator publishes no weight limits.
- 12 attractions have no minimum height. The rules chart lists these with no height requirement: Tatanka, Tomahawk, Tijuana Twins, Tam Tam Splash, Gran Cañón, Big Hole, Wild River and Piscina de Relax. El Álamo has a maximum of 150 cm instead, and La Ponderosa, Coyote Park and Daky Park have a maximum of 120 cm.
- 19 attractions are open to a child of exactly 120 cm. The slides with a 120 cm minimum are Crazy Horses, El Látigo, Boomerang, Huracán, La Bestia, Tornado and Cola del Diablo; the chart and the ride pages agree on these.
- La Ponderosa, Coyote Park and Daky Park are the one disagreement. Their ride pages say "Altura requerida: mín. 1,20 m", but the rules chart says "Max 1,2 m", which is used here. They are children's areas, so a rider taller than 120 cm is not admitted.
- Cascada and Chorros are not in the chart and their pages show no height rule, so their requirement is shown as not listed.
Height Categories Explained
No Height Restriction (12 Attractions)
The rules chart lists no height requirement for Tatanka, Tomahawk and Tijuana Twins (body slides in Family Fun), Tam Tam Splash (the wave pool), Wild River (a lazy river ridden on a float), Piscina de Relax (listed as "Pool Relax") and the group raft slides Gran Cañón and Big Hole. For the chart's companion column, Tam Tam Splash, Wild River and Piscina de Relax show an adult-with-child symbol; Gran Cañón and Big Hole show a minimum group of two adults with three children and a maximum of four adults. Gran Cañón's tiles list a 220 m course while its page text says 260 m.
El Álamo is a set of around ten slides for young children in Kidzworld. The ride page lists a maximum permitted height of 150 cm and the chart says "Max 1,5 m"; neither lists a minimum. La Ponderosa, Coyote Park and Daky Park, also in Kidzworld, are stored with a maximum of 120 cm, as the chart states.
120 to 129 cm
These Adrenaline Fun slides list a minimum height of 120 cm: Crazy Horses (a mat race slide with six lanes), El Látigo (curved slides on a single or double float), Boomerang (a half pipe ridden on a float), Huracán (a body slide where the lights go out), La Bestia (a near-vertical body slide with a drop of more than 30 m), Tornado (a tube more than 60 m long ending in a 12 m bowl) and Cola del Diablo (four body slides).
Height Not Listed
Cascada (waterfalls) and Chorros (water jets), both in Chill Out & Play, have pages with no height rule and are not in the rules chart. The operator publishes nothing for them, so a rule may still apply on site. Check the signs at the entrance.
Tips for Visiting with Different Heights
- Under 120 cm: 12 attractions are open: the attractions with no minimum height listed above, including La Ponderosa, Coyote Park, Daky Park and El Álamo. Cascada and Chorros are not counted here.
- Exactly 120 cm: 19 attractions are open, adding the slides with a 120 cm minimum.
- 121 to 150 cm: the 120 cm slides, El Álamo and the attractions the chart lists with no height requirement stay open. La Ponderosa, Coyote Park and Daky Park are closed above 120 cm.
- Over 150 cm: El Álamo is also closed, because its maximum is 150 cm. The 120 cm slides and the attractions with no height requirement remain open.
The chart also shows how each attraction is ridden (body slide, mat or float), which can help you plan, for example a float for Boomerang or Wild River.
Ticket Pricing
On the official prices page the 1-day ticket is listed at €38 for adults (over 11) and €30 for children (5 to 10) at the box office. Online prices are €36 and €28; the operator says the online price applies to a selection of dates shown in the calendar when you buy. The Mini ticket (3 and 4 years old) is €17, the Senior ticket (over 65) is €30 at the box office and €28 online, and children aged 0 to 2 enter free. The operator also sells online Flexi-ticket, Family Pack and Friends Pack options. Parking is listed at €8 per day.
Getting There
Western Water Park is on the Ctra. Cala Figuera a Sa Porrassa, 07181 Magaluf, Mallorca. The operator's directions page says it is reached from the Palma-Andratx motorway, exit 13, and lists regular buses from Palma, Palmanova, Magaluf, Santa Ponça and Peguera. Its entry-plus-bus page lists a free bus from the Peguera and Santa Ponsa areas, a free bus on its south tab from Ca'n Pastilla, Playa de Palma, El Arenal, Palmanova and Magaluf (that text names Marineland Mallorca, so confirm with the park), and a paid entry-plus-bus ticket from the north of the island on set days.
Opening Hours
The park is seasonal and opens on the dates shown in its online calendar. The operator lists 10:00 to 17:00 in April, May, June and October, and 10:00 to 18:00 in July and August. Water attractions close 15 minutes before the park. Attractions can close for technical reasons, and the operator may change dates and hours.
Final Thoughts
For families at Western Water Park, 120 cm is the number to know, and it works in both directions. It is the minimum for the main slides and the maximum for La Ponderosa, Coyote Park and Daky Park. El Álamo is open up to 150 cm, and most of the other slides and pools list no height requirement in the rules chart. Cascada and Chorros list nothing, so confirm those on site. The operator publishes no weight limits.
