If your child just crossed 100cm, congratulations — they've hit the single biggest ride unlock point in UK theme parks. More new rides become available at this threshold than at any other height.

We counted exactly how many rides open up at each park when a child goes from under-100cm to 100cm. The numbers are significant.

Parks Where 100cm Unlocks the Most

LEGOLAND Windsor — 11 new rides unlock

The biggest jump anywhere. A child under 100cm has access to 10 rides at LEGOLAND (all no-restriction). At 100cm, that leaps to 21 rides — more than doubling their options.

What opens up: Ninjago The Ride, LEGO City Driving School, Pirate Falls, Coast Guard HQ, and the rebuild of Minifigure Speedway (100cm minimum for 2026).

Lightwater Valley already has one of the most toddler-friendly lineups with 24 no-restriction rides. At 100cm, 9 more open up — bringing the total to 33 of 39 rides (85%). That's near-complete park access at just 100cm.

Crealy Adventure Park — 8 new rides unlock

Devon's largest theme park goes from 18 accessible rides to 26 at 100cm. That's 74% of the park. The newly accessible rides include family coasters and water rides perfect for a summer visit.

Chessington World of Adventures — 7 new rides unlock

Chessington has zero no-restriction rides, which makes it frustrating for under-100cm visitors. But at 100cm, 7 rides suddenly unlock, including Gruffalo River Ride Adventure and several family rides. The park really opens up from this point.

Drayton Manor — 6 new rides unlock

Drayton Manor's Thomas Land is already strong for younger visitors (12 rides under 100cm). Add 6 more at the 100cm mark and you reach 18 rides — over half the park.

Paultons is already the king of under-100cm access with 24 rides. At 100cm, 6 more open up for a total of 30 out of 35 (86%). At this point, your child can ride nearly everything in the park.

Where to Celebrate the Milestone

If your child just crossed 100cm and you want to make the most of it, these parks offer the best "new ride" experience:

For maximum new rides: LEGOLAND Windsor. Going from 10 to 21 rides is dramatic — your child will notice rides they couldn't do before are suddenly open to them.

For near-complete access: Lightwater Valley (85%) or Paultons Park (86%). At 100cm, your child can ride almost everything. The day feels unrestricted.

For a first "real" park experience: Chessington. Going from 0 to 7 rides is a genuine unlock — this is the first time Chessington becomes viable for your child.
