What's New in October 2026
The main change this month is a fourth country. Spain is now in the guide, with its main theme parks and a long list of water parks. Alongside it, our Halloween guide has a new Spain section, our height guides now include Spanish parks, and a few things on the site have changed since our March update.
Across the whole site we now cover 124 parks and 3300 rides.
Spain Is Now Covered
We've added 31 Spanish parks with 620 rides and attractions between them. They are spread across seven regions: Catalonia, the Community of Madrid, the Valencian Community, Andalusia, the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands and Navarre. The Spain page lists them all, with a map.
The theme parks
- PortAventura Park and Ferrari Land, side by side at Vila-seca on the Costa Daurada (separate tickets)
- Parque Warner Madrid at San Martín de la Vega, and Parque de Atracciones de Madrid in the city
- Tibidabo, on the mountain above Barcelona
- Terra Mítica in Benidorm
- Isla Mágica in Seville
- Sendaviva at Arguedas, Navarre
The water parks
- Catalonia: Caribe Aquatic Park, Aquopolis Costa Daurada, Aquabrava, Aquadiver and Water World at Lloret de Mar
- Community of Madrid: Parque Warner Beach and Aquopolis Villanueva
- Valencian Community: Aqualandia, Aqua Natura Benidorm, Aquarama, Aquopolis Cullera and Aquopolis Torrevieja
- Andalusia: Aqualand Torremolinos, Aquavelis, Aqualand Bahía de Cádiz, Guadalpark and Agua Mágica
- Balearic Islands: Aqualand El Arenal, Western Water Park and Hidropark Alcúdia
- Canary Islands: Siam Park, Aqualand Costa Adeje and Aqualand Maspalomas
How heights work in Spain
Many Spanish rides publish two heights: an "altura mínima" to ride alone, and a lower one for a child "acompañado de un adulto" (with an adult), and our ride lists show both. Pools and lazy rivers at several water parks, and many children's rides at the theme parks, take a child of any height with an adult and only set a height for going alone.
Every Spanish park was checked ride by ride against the operator's own website, and each park page, ride description and guide is in English, French and Spanish.
More than minimum heights
Spanish parks often publish more than a minimum height, and the park pages carry these rules where the operator does:
- Maximum heights. Many children's areas have a ceiling as well as a floor, to keep bigger children out. The ride list shows both.
- Weight limits. Water slides often list a weight, sometimes per rider and sometimes for everyone sharing a float or boat.
- Age rules. Several water parks don't let children below a set age into the park without an adult, and some rides add a minimum age of their own.
- Ticket prices by height. At our last check, many Spanish parks let the youngest children in free, with the cut-off set by age at some parks and by height at others.
Visiting this autumn
Most Spanish water parks are seasonal, so check a park's dates before you travel. In the Canary Islands, Siam Park, Aqualand Costa Adeje and Aqualand Maspalomas are listed as open every day.
To get started, our guide to Spanish theme parks and water parks for young children ranks the parks by what a small child can ride, the Spanish water parks guide covers slide heights, weight limits and swim rules, and PortAventura vs Parque Warner Madrid compares the two parks height by height.
Halloween 2026 in Spain
Our Halloween guide for families with young children now has a Spain section covering seven parks, from PortAventura Park and Parque Warner Madrid to Tibidabo and Sendaviva. It lists each park's family events and dates, and the age guidance each park publishes for its scare walk-throughs (pasajes del terror). Most of those ages are recommendations rather than rules, and the guide points out the exceptions.
Spain in Our Height Guides
Our guides by height and by situation now include the Spanish parks, with tables that update from the same ride data as the park pages:
- Height milestones: 90cm, 100cm, 110cm, 120cm and 140cm
- Height restrictions by age
- Maximum height limits, for children who are too tall for the toddler rides
- Siblings at different heights
- Water rides by height
- Rainy-day and indoor rides
Other Changes Since March
- A redesigned site with one shared child height (October 2026). Enter your child's height once and every park page, ride list, height tool and the planner use it.
- "Height not listed". When an operator publishes no height for a ride, we now say so with a "Height not listed" badge instead of counting it as having no restriction. These rides are never counted among the rides your child can go on.
- Maximum rider weight. Where the operator publishes a weight limit, the ride list now shows it alongside the height, for example 100kg on Formula Rossa at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.
- Every ride re-checked (August 2026). We re-read every park we then covered, ride by ride, against the operator's own website, and corrected the rides where our data and the park's had drifted apart.
- Eight parks added in May 2026: GreenWood Family Park in North Wales, Watermouth Castle in Devon and Curry's Fun Park in Portrush, our first park in Northern Ireland; Le Fleury, Parc des Combes, Didi'Land and Winnoland in France; and Al Montazah Pearls Kingdom in Sharjah.
- A how-to-use page. How to use the guide explains the shared height, the ride verdicts and the planner in a couple of minutes.
Plan Your Visit
Enter your child's height on any park page to see which rides they can go on, alone or with an adult, and which ones they're still too short for. To compare several parks at once, use the height planner.
